Performance, 2019
“Worn Words” is a live performance exploring the intersection of fashion, culture, and language. The artist de- and re-constructs clothing with words on it, sewing them together into new garments and new arrangements of language. Visitors are invited to both contribute their own used clothing to the project and take the refashioned garments to wear.
“Worn Words” was performed at the {Re}HAPPENING in Black Mountain, NC on March 30, 2019.

Clothing and Textile Brand, 2014-present
Sunday Shift is an independent line of clothing and accessories designed and handmade in Durham, North Carolina from sustainable textiles, low-impact dyes, and vintage materials to be kind to the world and fun to wear.
The name "Sunday Shift" comes from the central piece of the collection: a simple, fun dress that invokes the feeling of a perfect Sunday: relaxed enough for lounging with coffee and a newspaper, stylish enough for brunch with friends, comfortable enough for the farmer's market or a museum.
Sunday Shift clothing is made to wear in real life, in all kinds of situations, for a long time.

“One might say that these houses in miniature are false objects that possess a true psychological objectivity. “
-Gaston Bachelard, The Poetics of Space
False Objects is part of an exploration of imaginary landscapes - landscapes that are both imagined and that serve as a place for one's imagination to reside.
I started building 1"x1"x1" boxes out of paper. The boxes became houses by cutting out windows and a door or by adding a roof. Really, they were houses even before that. All you need is a box, and you have a house.

Landscape interventions, 2009-2010
A series of interventions with the winter landscape of Boston, MA. After several successive snow storms without thaw in between, plowing had pushed ice and snow into a dirty, frozen wall. I selected pieces of ice from the plows, wrapped them in thread and yarn from my fibers collection, and left them where I had found them. I returned to the site of the intervention 24-hours later to photograph any changes to the object. In many cases the object - both thread and ice - had completely disappeared.
